This project aimed to present an existing company with a kinetic branding proposal, enhancing its identity to resonate with a diverse community of creatives. While researching the current brand, I found it essential that the logo embody the fusion of past and future—much like the studio itself. My goal was to capture its spirit, honoring timeless artistry while expressing innovation and a drive to push boundaries. The concept of a junction between past and future ultimately shaped my approach, guiding the entire process through the lens of transformation.

To me, it was essential for the brand to speak to a bold, industry-shaping audience while uncovering its true voice. This understanding shaped my approach and led to the development of a key graphic element: a blackletter “R” intertwined with a modern letter. This combination evokes the traditional drop cap, symbolizing the act of rewriting history. For the logotype, I aimed to represent a shift in time by contrasting two typefaces that appear to overlap—much like recording tracks—visually reinforcing the idea of past and future coexisting. Revolution Recording is a place where the quietest ideas evolve into the loudest statements, where the old and new merge seamlessly, and where the brand’s connection with its community is reflected through compelling promotional content. Ultimately, this project taught me that establishing a clear tone of voice from the outset is a powerful guiding force—shaping every aspect of design and communication.
